We are a dedicated UK-based Punjabi community united by our love for Punjab and Sikhism. Through this website, we support Bhai Amritpal Singh’s vision, grow our UK membership, and bring all his supporters under one umbrella who live in UK. Our mission is to empower Punjabis and Sikhs—both in Punjab and across the globe—by raising awareness of social and political issues, protecting our religious traditions, and promoting human rights. Our main agenda is to involve every Punjabi, irrespective of religion or caste. Join us to strengthen our community, expand our reach, and work together for the well-being of beloved Punjab.
Who is Bhai Amritpal Singh?
Bhai Amritpal Singh Sandhu is a Sikh preacher and Member of Parliament for Khadoor Sahib, Punjab. He returned to Punjab in September 2022 to lead the organisation Waris Punjab De. In June 2024, he won his seat in the Lok Sabha as an independent candidate while he was already in jail.
The New Party: Akali Dal Waris Punjab De
On the occasion of Maghi Mela in Muktsar, Amritpal Singh’s family and supporters officially launched a new regional party named Shiromani Akali Dal (Waris Punjab De) to carry forward their work in politics and society.
Later, his father Tarsem Singh and Faridkot MP Sarabjit Singh Khalsa formally unveiled the party in January 2025, saying it will focus on:
- Strengthening Sikh institutions
- Fighting drug abuse
- Stopping brain drain from Punjab
- Seeking release of Sikh detainees
Detention under NSA
Bhai Amritpal Singh was arrested on 23 April 2023 under the National Security Act (NSA). Normally, NSA allows detention for up to 12 months. His detention was extended in April 2024 and again in April 2025, making it his third year in preventive custody—an action many see as against the spirit of the Indian Constitution.

We have formed a committee of five dedicated members here in the UK. We have already started welcoming new members and are very happy with the positive response from the sangat. Every week, our team meets online or face to face to plan events, share news, and help people learn more about Punjab’s issues and to find a way, how can we help Punjabis living in UK.
